Gebelein has been frequently mentioned in Egyptological literature. Although, many important objects have been discovered there, the area is still poorly known in terms of its topography and archaeological sites. It is also greatly threatened by human activity and requires urgent attention. Gebelein Archaeological Project was initiated in 2013 to protect and research the area. The aim of this website is to briefly present the archaeological sites at Gebelein and the project.
The project is conducted under the auspices of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology (University of Warsaw).
It is a low-cost project therefore any donation would make a difference. If you would like to support the effort pleas contact the director of the project Wojciech Ejsmond: firstname.lastname@example.org
