Porcelain Dolls Resembling Young Girls Placed in Front of 8 O.C. Families’ Homes

Eight families in San Clemente have been targeted in a disturbing pattern under investigation by authorities: porcelain dolls have been left at their homes resembling young girls who live there.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Jeff Hallock initially said four families were involved, but later updated that figure to eight families.

Some of the girls, all about 10 years old, attend the same elementary school, Hallock said.

Eight dolls crafted to resemble the students were left in front of each of the girls’ homes, Hallock said.

The families all live in the same residential development, known as Talega.

The dolls were taken into evidence and investigators were trying to determine what prompted the dolls, which weren’t being considered a crime, Hallock said.
